I made two presentations at the 2006 Annual Meeting of the Decision
Sciences Institute, but I still had some time to take in the sights of
beautiful San Antonio.

My trip to Germany had two purposes - I visited two Metro Group facilities to
conduct research on RFID technology and in Baden-Baden, I presented a paper on the BWI
garage at a conference.
Metro Group Innovation Center in Neuss, Germany:

Future Store in Rheinburg, Germany:
The Future Store is a testing site for various types of supermarket
innovations, including RFID. Metro Group has several supermarket
formats - this store is an Extra format, but a little larger than most
Extras due to the various innovations being tested.
